Once in secondary, CBP officers utilizing biometric verification confirmed his identity along with the active arrest warrant from Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Department. Beltran has been wanted since March 2023 on an outstanding warrant for aggravated kidnapping for ransom/reward, a first-degree felony in Texas.

A Hidalgo County deputy sheriff took custody of Beltran and transported him to the county jail.
