3-Day Blackout Period

In order to avoid players copying each other's teams, all rider selections will be hidden for 72 hours before each race. Start playing mind games with your friends that you know are shoulder-hopping your choices.

Unlimited Trades

To make evolving your strategy between rounds easier, we've allowed unlimited trades after each round. Instead of only 2 changes allowed per round, you can now stick with what's working, or change your whole team out after every race.

Injury Icon
photo

We've added an injury icon to show high profile athletes who are injured. This is not foolproof or exhaustive, so you'll still need to do your own research into your picks. If you know of riders who are injured, mention them in the comments and we’ll keep this updated.

Office Leagues

Employees at Race Face, Norco, SRAM, Trek, Chromag, Jenson, Specialized, and more are battling it out behind closed doors in their Office Leagues.
Fantasy League trash talk

Offices can set up private leagues in addition to playing the main public league. Let the trash talk begin and show Dave in accounting who's boss (sorry Dave).

The Fantasy Downhill League is Presented by Trek.

What a shame!! Yesterday deadline rooster was counted down...and I though i have enough time to make changes and Today rooster is closed so i stay with Aaron Gwin on Team. I was kind 31th. Dont understand why they cannot change it just after Val di Sole. The deadline with time counted down - confused me so much... Im pretty pissed off. Damn!

The deadline was changed overnight from 14th to 13th, I got caught out too

Great step by Pinkbike to jump in after Dirt ceased their fantasy league. Suggestion for next year: Make it more dynamic. Meaning, the value should reflect the rider's current position. For example right now you can still add Amaury Pierron for a decent amount even though he's leading the UCI ranking.

Another thing also, why blackout the rosters before qualifying if it makes no difference whatsoever. The Quali points are not counted in this game, so the only advantage (which everyone would have) is to know how qualifying went... Makes no sense to lock them before...

Because qualifiers are a decent predictor of the race results, and can also result in injuries... the point is to make it more of a gamble.
  • 1 0
 actually, qualy points are added

Step aside boys those shoes are mine..............im ranked 14000???...... Crap!

Damn what’s up with them skimping on these prizes? I’d take the wheels I won over FOUR pair of those shoes any day!

Pinkbike you still haven't sorted out the black-out period lock down! It's currently set to 7-14-2018 @ 5:30am which is 30 minutes AFTER the elite men are schedule to start the race on Saturday! The rules say rosters are locked 72 hours before race which should be 7-11-2018 @ 3:30am PST which was yesterday, well before practice which I assume is the intention.

Last week you corrected this but only after folks in Europe had a chance to make last minute changes from qualifying (i.e. due to injuries). Not really fair.

That's for viewing other people's teams, not changing your own.

@mtbikeaddict: Nope, my post is correct, changes are still possible right now and we are less than 72h to the race. Pinkbike did just update the change deadline to 2018-07-13 04:30:00 PST from 2018-07-14 05:30:00 so at least it's locked down to before qualifiers.

@gramboh: Um, nope. The locked period thing, sure. But now they fixed that, and have the countdown on the main page. (Thanks! Smile ) But you were talking about TWO SEPERATE things, which you even quoted. "3-Day Blackout Period

Read that again. It says hidden. That's to stop people copying others' teams. PB never said they would do a 3-day lock on adjustments... that's different.

Last time I checked there was a lot of people who got 1070 points last race. Is it a random choice among those people?
  • 3 0
Yes. Multiple winners leads to random choice. 22 people got 1070 last round...
  • 1 0
@mtbikeaddict: Are there league stats for each round somewhere? How do you know there were 22 who got 1070 points?
  • 1 0
@martin737: Yeah, there's Global, which shows the overall, and then options for viewing each completed round. I counted several of them in global... but I got that stat from @brianpark Smile

Neverheard of flatline. Looking good. Clipless option?
  • 1 0
 Love this!!!!!!

When are they giving away a set of brake pads? That's a REAL prize.
  • 4 0
It would be a FREE set of brake pads and I'd be happy if I win them!

Mind you this time I do need the shoes, so please @Anarhichas step away Big Grin

@Milko3D: No kidding. lol @Anarhichas (and whoever else is good) paws off! Wink I need those in size 13... Drool

@YouHadMeAtDrugs : I'm waiting for the frameset... I figure it must be on a cycle... started at $1,200 wheels, then $750 tires... last round was $180 pump/pack, now $130 shoes (edited... $190 shoes/pedals).. it's halfway through, so time for another cycle... how low could it go anyway? Maybe next round is a Remedy/Slash or something frame... *fingers crossed* Big Grin

Edit: Just noticed they're including nylon flat pedals too... Sweet! Flat pedal fan here...
So, the value is actually $190.
