  12. Post update

    FT: England 36-18 New Zealand

    Jon Wilkin

Former England forward on BBC Two

Elliott Whitehead for me was exceptional.

Hard to disagree with Jon, there. He was superb at both ends of the pitch and critical to England's comeback.

  13. 'England were terrific'

    FT: England 36-18 New Zealand

    Brian Noble

Ex-Great Britain coach on BBC Two

The debutants were superb and the wingers kept pounding the ball forward, took New Zealand on at their own game and they tired the Kiwis out.

  14. 'A good team effort'

    FT: England 36-18 New Zealand

England's Sam Burgess on BBC Two: "It has been a great week. Both teams played with heart and passion. It was a good team effort. We worked hard for each other. We got some breakaway tries and defended well. The game was very physical."

  15. 'The best team won'

    FT: England 36-18 New Zealand

    John Kear

Wales & Bradford Bulls coach on BBC Two

Very satisfying for England, but you feel New Zealand are edging back. The best team won because of the performance levels.

  16. Post update

    FT: England 36-18 New Zealand

Reaction from the England camp to come...

  17. Full time: England 36-18 New Zealand

Full-time in Denver, and it's a deserved victory for England.

Wayne Bennett's side came from 12-0 down to score 32 unanswered points against a New Zealand side that tired in the second period.

Debutants Jake Connor and Tommy Makinson impressed and scored tries, while Elliott Whitehead crossed twice for the men in white.

  18. 'Grit, desire and determination'

    England 36-18 New Zealand

    John Kear

Wales & Bradford Bulls coach on BBC Two

It was just determination. He just gets nice and low and has the grit, desire and determination to plant that ball over the whitewash.

  19. TRY: England 36-18 New Zealand

    John Bateman

The icing on the cake for England! John Bateman crashes over from dummy half and England have a sixth try of the match.

Hang on - James Graham taking the kick at goal?! The big prop puts it wide, but it matters not.

  20. 'A job well done'

    England 32-18 New Zealand

    John Kear

Wales & Bradford Bulls coach on BBC Two

England have done their job very well. It is job well done. It has been very entertaining. Contrasting styles with great individual touches.
