Swansea City striker Jordan Ayew is "seriously interesting" Scottish champions Celtic, according to reports .

The Ghanaian was one of few players to emerge with genuine credit from the Swans' Premier League relegation, with his goals and attacking threat one of the driving forces behind their initial revival under Carlos Carvalhal.

He scored 11 goals in all competitions to top the charts at the Liberty Stadium, including seven in the Premier League.

He joined Swansea from Aston Villa less than 18 months ago, and he has two years remaining on his contract.

But, according to Ayew's friend Nana Oduro Sarfo, former Swans boss Brendan Rodgers is keen on taking him to Parkhead, and he even suggests Champions League finalists Liverpool are also keen on his services.

“Jordan has had offers from several clubs after Swansea City's relegation last season. He will surely not play in the Championship with them," Sarfo, director of football at Ghanaian club Berekum Chelsea, is reported to have told Onua FM.

“Liverpool have shown interest in him but Scottish side Celtic and their coach seem to be serious with their interest.

"I believe he may go to Scotland looking at how events are unfolding since they want to meet every demand.

“They speak English just like in England so he can express himself well in there and meet the expectations in the league."

Swansea are expected to see a high turnover of players this summer as they prepare to start life back in the Championship.

But the club are prioritising the appointment of a new manager, Graham Potter is set to be confirmed in the role in the coming days, and want him to be involved in the decision-making process when it comes to the rebuilding of the squad.
