Bank of Hawaiʻi marked the grand opening of its new Lahaina Branch on Maui on Monday with a private blessing ceremony and a donation of $100,000 to provide support to Lahaina residents who are at risk of losing their homes to foreclosure.

This grant from Bank of Hawaiʻi Foundation to Holomua Collective was amplified with a $150,000 match from the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines (FHLB), amounting to $250,000.

Bank of Hawaiʻi’s new Lahaina Branch marks a return to the community it has proudly served for nearly a century—beginning with its first branch in the area on Front Street in 1930. Its previous location on Papalaua Street was destroyed in the 2023 wildfires.

Interior touches reflect the community and its unique history.
