BISMARCK, N.D. (KFYR) - The North Dakota Associated Press Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association announced the 41st recipients of Mr. and Miss Basketball on Friday afternoon.

Fargo Davies’ Mason Klabo was named Mr. Basketball after receiving 175 out of 200 possible points in the voting system. West Fargo Horace’s Jaiden Haile was named North Dakota Miss Basketball with 115 total points.

Klabo becomes the first Eagles player since 2014 to win the award. Tanner Kretchman is the only other Eagles player to win.

Klabo joins his mom as one of North Dakota’s top basketball players. Mary Perrizo Klabo won Miss Basketball for the Mandan Braves in 1998.

Klabo is committed to playing basketball at Illinois State next year.

Jaiden Haile becomes the first player from West Fargo Horace to ever win the award in just the program’s third year of existence. Haile helped lead the team to its first state championship this season.

Haile is committed to playing basketball at Gonzaga University next year.
