Cost.U.Less has announced it will be opening its fourth and largest location on Guam, a 50,000-sq. ft. concept store at the Agana Shopping Center.

Construction of Cost.U.Less has started on a new standalone structure at an adjoining lot next to the Wendy’s store, at a time when Jollibee’s construction also at the Agana Shopping Center is nearly complete for an expected opening this year.

Cost.U.Less, a warehouse-style retailer, said the new store is scheduled to open by mid-2025.

The groceries and household items retailer has entered into a long-term lease with Agana Shopping Center.

It will offer customers “an enhanced shopping experience, representing the next generation for Cost.U.Less stores around the world,” the store said.

”We are delighted to unveil our latest venture in Agana, which has been the culmination of many months of hard work by our team,” Kevin Proctor, president of Cost.U.Less, said in a statement. “We have enjoyed over 30 years of support from our loyal customers here in Guam, and this store expansion represents our continued commitment to deliver exceptional value and service to the community.”

Proctor said the new store’s opening also reflects Cost.U.Less’ ongoing pledge in fostering economic growth and additional employment opportunities on Guam.

“We are so pleased to welcome Cost.U.Less as our anchor tenant in the Agana Shopping Center, as we build a best-in-class shopping experience for Guam,” ASC general manager Therese Kamm said in a statement.

According to its website, Cost.U.Less opened its first retail warehouse in Maui, Hawaii in 1989.

Its first expansion was in 1992, with the opening of the store in Dededo. It currently operates 12 stores in island locations in the Pacific and Caribbean, including two more on Guam in Tamuning and Chalan Pago.

Cost.U.Less and Agana Shopping Center’s announcement also comes a day after Japanese retail giant Don Don Donki held its soft opening for its massive store in Tamuning.
